The Lotus Flowers are in bloom at The Aquatic Gardens in Kenilworth, DC. If you are interested, you should try to go before July 11. I went there yesterday at 7:30 am and the gate was opened even though the website has 8 – 4 p.m. The website also mentioned 30% bloom, but it look like 60 % or higher has bloomed. Wear boots, you may have to walk through water, take a long lens. Good luck. Have fun

Hi Gosia,
It was not crowded this morning at 8AM. However, the parking lot was almost full when I left at 10AM. Right before I left, there were many people there but walkable and I could still set up a tripod.
It was well worth the trip. I got some gorgeous photos!! Even with my basic 28-105mm lens. A diffuser would have helped today since it was very sunny.
