This video was created for the North Bethesda Camera Club’s 2016 Photo Essay program. It shows pairs of photographs–the first one realistic, then an impressionistic version. It uses a variety of techniques for creating images that show their most important elements–shapes, colors, composition, etc.–with fewer details that can be distracting. This may help the photographer see key features more clearly. But mostly, it’s just fun!
The accompanying music is Tchaikovsky’s Pas de Deux from The Nutcracker.
